The 3rd Red Sea Pharmacy Conference, planned for 22-23 April 2027 in Jeddah, brings together pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, students, interns, residents and other healthcare professionals from across the Western Region to explore how pharmacy practice is changing under Saudi Vision 2030. The scientific program covers seven themes: pharmacy's role in health sector transformation, precision pharmacy and advanced biologics including pharmacogenomics, cell therapy and CAR-T, pharmacist-led clinical trials, medication safety and transitions of care, pharmacoeconomics and HTA, operational excellence and supply resilience, and AI in pharmacy practice.
Organized by King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC) in Jeddah, the conference is chaired by KFSH&RC's Director of Pharmacy, who leads both the scientific and organizing committees, and is led by a diverse membership ranging from Vice Presidents of health clusters and Deans of pharmacy colleges to pharmacy directors, clinical pharmacists, academics and practitioners from specialized, Ministry of Health and private-sector institutions. Through this mix of perspectives, the conference aims to turn evidence and local experience into practical improvements in patient care and to build education, advocacy and career pathways for the next generation of the Saudi pharmacy workforce.
